3 Books You Must Read This Year
Leaders are readers. I believe that with all of my heart. And since we’re all leaders, even if we’re only leading ourselves, we need to read.
The last several months, I’ve read 3 incredible books that have challenged my concept of leadership and personal development. These books have challenging truth that, if you apply them to your life, will change the way you view yourself and others.
If you’re not sure what to read this year, here are 3 books you must read:
1. The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell
This book provides incredible ways to keep you moving forward in your growth by giving you steps that actually work. The primary cause of stunted growth is our own view of ourselves, and how we must know ourselves in order to grow ourselves. Maxwell gives us incredible steps to growth by using engaging examples and challenging the way we view ourselves and others.
2. The Go-Giver by Bob Burgh & John David Mann
For any leader looking for success, this book is the place to start. Through a creatively crafted short story, you'll learn the fundamentals to having the most success in business. It'll challenge your way of thinking, encourage your personal growth, and give you a refreshing view of what success really looks like: being a giver rather than a receiver.
3. Living Forward by Michael Hyatt & Daniel Harkavy
A crucial theme of Living Forward revolves around drifting. Do you ever feel like you end up in an unwanted place in life? If so, you've drifted. Living Forward is the solution to drifting. Instead of life happening to you, this book teaches how to have you happen to life.
After reading these books, I’m sure you’ll see the value they add to your life. Take time this year to invest in yourself. You’re worth the time to invest in!
